Role overview
ADNET Systems is seeking an AP106 Scientific Software Developer to support the NASA/GSFC XRISM mission. This onsite position is located in Greenbelt, Maryland. The role includes developing, maintaining and supporting software used to calibrate and analyze data from space instruments, preparing technical documentation and user guides, assisting users, and delivering software for pipeline processing, data ingest and archiving.
Responsibilities
- Software development, maintenance and support for calibrating and analyzing data from space instruments
- Writing and editing technical documentation and user guides
- Assisting with user support
- Development, operation and maintenance of software for pipeline processing, including monitoring and troubleshooting operational pipelines
- Data ingest

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Astrophysics, Astronomy, Physics, or Physical Sciences
- 3+ years of experience
- Proficiency in C/C++, Perl and shell scripting within UNIX/Linux/macOS environments
- Technical writing experience
- US Citizenship or Permanent Residency (LPR) required, with US residency for the past 3 consecutive years
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 1 Investigation through NASA
