Job Description

APR Consulting, Inc. is seeking an Android OS embedded software engineer to support a DoD and Aerospace program. The on-site role in Dedham, MA centers on delivering mission-critical cybersecurity and encryption capabilities implemented on Android OS with custom hardware.

  • Salary: USD 77 - 77 per hourly
  • Job Type: Contract
  • Minimum Experience: 3 years
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, or related STEM field

Responsibilities

  • Design and sustain NSA-certified cybersecurity devices that run Android OS on custom hardware
  • Translate CONOPS, specifications, and requirements into robust software designs, code, and test plans
  • Lead projects with minimal guidance, providing technical direction and leadership
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement real-time, multi-threaded embedded software on Linux and Android
  • Apply model-based development tools such as Rhapsody and work with ARM virtualization extensions, hypervisors, and device drivers
  • Support long product lifecycles through ongoing maintenance, updates, and technology refreshes

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, or related Science, Engineering, Technology, or Mathematics field
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience; 5+ years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree plus 3 years of experience
  • Citizenship: U.S. citizenship required
