Job Description

Parsons is seeking a Senior Windows Software Engineer to deliver low-level Windows software for national defense cyber programs.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop innovative software code for new tools and capabilities in computer security, vulnerability research, reverse engineering, and product development
  • Build and maintain low-level application and operating system projects related to software protection and host-based personal security tools
  • Review system architecture; select and implement development and support tools to maintain product performance
  • Test and debug developed software
  • Provide customer expertise to leverage existing software and create new capabilities
  • Participate in quick reaction development with customer interaction opportunities
  • Collaborate with a team focused on superior product development and member career growth
  • Act as a customer-focused self-starter who learns, mentors, and collaborates effectively in Agile teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field; additional experience may suffice in lieu of degree
  • 8+ years of Software Engineering experience
  • Proficiency in C/C++
  • Strong Windows foundation/knowledge (5+ years experience)
  • Experience with CNO Windows development (tools/implant or exploit development)
  • Experience with Windows VR/RE
  • Experience with Windows APIs (win32, Windows Native)
  • Experience with networking protocol analysis and socket programming on Windows
  • Familiarity with Git
  • Ability to generate accurate documentation for developed software
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with a remote team
  • U.S. Citizenship required with ability to obtain a TS/SCI

  • Location: Virginia (onsite)
  • Parsons is especially interested in Centreville, VA; Herndon, VA; Columbia, MD; Augusta, GA; or San Antonio, TX; remote candidates also considered
  • Quarterly travel is expected

  • Python proficiency
  • Experience supporting US Government CNO missions
  • Assembly programming and analysis (any major architecture)
  • Experience working with debuggers and disassemblers
  • Strong understanding of low-level operating system internals and drivers
  • Experience with kernel and userland debugging
  • Familiarity with modern development environments and practices including CI/CD
  • Active TS/SCI

Salary

  • USD 112,200 - 196,400 per year
