Job Description

DaySmart Software is seeking a Web Developer I (Webflow) to support day-to-day website operations and implement front-end improvements across multiple brand sites. This role focuses on building and maintaining responsive Webflow pages and CMS-driven content, while partnering closely with the Senior AI & Website Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and update responsive Webflow pages using established classes, variables, components, component properties or slots, style guides, and brand standards.
  • Translate approved Figma designs into accurate Webflow layouts and independently troubleshoot behavior across desktop, tablet, and mobile breakpoints.
  • Create and maintain CMS collections, fields, reference and multi-reference relationships, collection templates, filters, and conditional visibility.
  • Publish landing pages, blog posts, and resource content; maintain redirects, internal links, page metadata, and on-page SEO.
  • Build Webflow interactions and animations while protecting usability, accessibility, and page performance.
  • Implement and troubleshoot custom HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and approved third-party embeds when native Webflow capabilities are not sufficient.
  • Optimize images and SVGs, write descriptive alt text, and apply accessible semantic and heading structures.
  • Test across browsers and devices, follow QA checklists, and apply Core Web Vitals concepts (LCP, CLS, INP) when resolving issues.
  • Embed and test Marketo or contact forms and support consent-aware analytics events, Google Tag Manager, and approved marketing integrations.
  • Manage changes through Webflow staging, review, and production publishing workflows, including backup restore points and documented recovery procedures.
  • Maintain clear ticket updates, completion notes, process documentation, and knowledge-base articles.

Required Qualifications

  • Two or more years of hands-on Webflow production experience, or equivalent work showing intermediate proficiency.
  • A portfolio or work samples demonstrating polished responsive Webflow sites and capability beyond basic page assembly.
  • Confidence working in Webflow Designer and Navigator, including scalable classes, variables, components, properties, slots, and responsive breakpoints.
  • Experience creating and safely modifying CMS schemas, collection templates, dynamic lists, filters, conditional visibility, and reference fields.
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS, plus basic JavaScript for troubleshooting, small enhancements, and third-party integrations.
  • Understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, semantic markup, accessibility, and web performance fundamentals.
  • Ability to independently manage routine updates and troubleshooting while following established QA and publishing controls.
  • Strong attention to detail, clear written communication, and consistent ticket and process documentation.

Collaboration Hours and Location

This is a US-based position supporting EST/CST office hours. The role is remote, with a requirement that candidates be located in CST or EST time zones to align with core team collaboration hours.

Salary Range

$60,000 to $70,000 per year.

First 90 Days: What Success Looks Like

  • First 30 Days
    • Learn brands, website standards, and publishing processes.
    • Become familiar with assigned websites.
    • Begin completing routine updates with guidance.
  • Days 31 to 60
    • Independently manage content, CMS, form, and website updates.
    • Troubleshoot routine issues across assigned websites.
    • Document key processes and recurring tasks.
  • Days 61 to 90
    • Own day-to-day operations for assigned websites.
    • Manage testing, publishing, troubleshooting, and documentation.
    • Recommend improvements to performance, accessibility, and workflows.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience building more advanced Webflow interactions and animations.
  • Familiarity with Webflow Localization, Enterprise environments, Workspace roles, or larger multi-site programs.
  • Experience with Webflow APIs, automation platforms, or more complex custom-code integrations.
  • Experience implementing designs from Figma and collaborating with designers on responsive behavior.
  • Familiarity with WordPress and Gutenberg-based content workflows.
  • Familiarity with Google Tag Manager, analytics events, tracking pixels, and consent-aware implementations.
  • Basic understanding of technical SEO, structured content, redirects, and tools such as Google Search Console.
  • Familiarity with Git or another version-control workflow for custom code and shared assets.

How We Work

This role supports EST/CST office hours. Flexible work arrangements are available, including fully remote, in-person, or hybrid options. For in-person work, DaySmart maintains physical offices in Ann Arbor, MI, Wayne, PA, and Austin, TX. Many DaySmart employees primarily work from home, and teams operate efficiently in a distributed environment.

The company maintains a highly collaborative culture and expects employees to actively participate in meetings and team interactions, including scheduled video calls with cameras on and consistent engagement in discussions.
