Job Description

Booz Allen Hamilton is hiring a TAK Developer to deliver end-to-end software and systems in a fast, agile environment. In this onsite role in McLean, VA, you will apply modern architectural approaches to improve solutions for clients, working with the Tactical Assault Kit (TAK) ecosystem while meeting required security eligibility.

What you’ll do

  • Deliver a complete end-to-end solution to resolve complex problems in a fast, agile environment.
  • Apply a drive to master new tools and techniques, and identify system improvements as needs evolve.
  • Support clients in overcoming challenging technical problems using the latest architectural approaches, tools, and technologies.
  • Ensure the team’s solutions account for the current architecture and operating environment, while enabling future functionality and enhancements.

Required qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in software programming, including C and C++.
  • Experience with the Tactical Assault Kit (TAK) ecosystem.
  • Secret clearance.
  • HS diploma or GED.

Helpful experience

  • Development experience with the Android Tactical Assault Kit (ATAK) software development kit.
  • Development experience with TAK Server plugins.
  • Experience developing native Android applications.
  • Experience profiling UI, memory, and concurrency on Android.
  • Experience with Android distributions and software development kits.
  • Experience with Mission Data Packages.
  • Experience with Geo Servers.
  • Experience with on-device database management using SQLitev.
  • Experience with mobile technologies, including cellular and wireless.
  • Experience with WinTAK and TAK X.

Compensation

Salary is determined by factors including location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and contract-specific requirements. The projected compensation range is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). This posting will close within 90 days from the posting date.

Work model

This role is onsite, with work primarily performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, where collaboration with colleagues and customers happens as required by the role.
