Responsibilities

  • Maintain the existing AWS server infrastructure (EC2, SG, S3) across four regions
  • WHM/cPanel Administration
  • Extend and maintain APIs
  • Add new features to client installations of the eCommerce system
  • Update and improve legacy code
  • Interfacing with clients to assess needs on new project work
  • Assist in composing and disseminating internal coding standards
  • Research development tools such as unit testing frameworks and Selenium
  • Produce internal and external documentation of findings and recommendations

Requirements

  • 5+ years of AWS administration experience (SNS and Lambda a plus)
  • 5+ years of PHP 7+ and MySQL web development
  • 5+ years of experience with JSON and XML
  • Experience with cPanel/WHM
  • Experience with Linux scripting (bash, cron jobs, etc.)
  • MySQL/MariaDB Engine, Sphinx, and other relevant engines
  • Experience using VPNs and 2FA
  • Experience building and connecting with RESTful APIs
  • Experience with eCommerce platforms (Magento, WooCommerce, Shopify, etc.), especially building extensions/plugins; WordPress plugin experience is a plus
  • Ability to collaborate with offshore development teams and coordinate meetings and updates
  • Strong knowledge of programming constructs and best practices
  • Adaptable and able to adjust tasks as client priorities change
  • Understanding of both legacy and object oriented programming and design is highly desired
  • Knowledge of advanced database systems
  • Ability to interact directly with customers and lead technical discussions
