Job Description

DataAnnotation offers a fully remote contract role with flexible scheduling, competitive hourly pay, and the opportunity to influence AI training. In the Staff Software Engineer - AI Trainer position, you will design and solve coding problems used to train AI systems, write high quality code samples with clear explanations, and evaluate AI-generated code to guide future model development. This role supports remote work and enables you to set your own hours while contributing to real-world AI training solutions.

Location: Kansas City, MO (remote).

Responsibilities

  • Design and solve a variety of coding challenges used for AI training.
  • Produce clean, well documented code snippets accompanied by thorough explanations.
  • Evaluate AI generated code for correctness, performance, and readability.
  • Provide feedback that informs the next generation of AI models.

Requirements

  • Fluency in English (native or bilingual level).
  • Proficiency in at least one of the following languages or frameworks: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C, C#, C++, React, Go, Java, Kotlin, or Swift.
  • Excellent writing and grammar skills.
  • Bachelor's degree (completed or in progress).
  • Previous experience as a Software Developer, Coder, Software Engineer, or Programmer is preferred.
