Lead the development of ROS-based robotics software from design through verification in a Linux environment.

Develop and maintain ROS-based applications in C++ and Python running on Linux systems
Produce software architecture and design artifacts, and participate in design/code reviews aligned to SDLC processes
Own key pieces of development work and serve as a stakeholder in review approvals
Mentor junior engineers through peer programming and hands-on collaboration
Support scoping, planning, and scheduling in an Agile workflow
Contribute to, and help drive, best practices and SOPs for software development
Create test plans and perform hands-on testing and verification using live robots and hardware
Follow safety standards when working with live equipment
Participate in field trials and customer on-site Beta deployments during new product releases
Coordinate with other Toyota Automated Logistics and TICO business units during R&D release activities (Manufacturing, Commissioning, Development, etc.)

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar field
Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience
Experience designing and implementing production software systems
Agile development experience with a strong drive for SOPs
Expertise working in Linux and developing for Linux systems
Expert-level C/C++ and Python; experience with other technologies such as Web Development and SQL
Experience with CI/CD and testing methodologies, including implementation
Experience with containerization and deployment strategies
Experience with version control systems, GIT preferred
ROS (Robot Operating System) experience
Must be eligible to work in the USA long term without sponsorship
Must follow all information security policies, protect confidential data, complete required training, and report suspected security incidents to support information security controls
