Sr Principal Software Engineer - DevSecOps SME

General Dynamics Mission Systems, Inc is seeking a Sr Principal Software Engineer - DevSecOps SME to join a cross-functional team within the NC3 business segment. This is a fully onsite role in Taunton, MA with occasional opportunities to work remotely. You’ll contribute to the design, development, and test of next-generation Strategic Systems, with a focus on software engineering leadership and DevSecOps-related capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a software engineer for the NC3 business segment, collaborating in a cross-functional team responsible for the design, development, and test of the next generation of Strategic Systems
• Apply a strong understanding of the software development process and software engineering concepts, principles, and theories
• Provide technical leadership and contribute directly to engineering execution
• Work effectively in collaborative environments and contribute to team success
• Identify opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering (or related STEM field) plus 10+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree plus 8+ years of relevant experience
• Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire
• Selected applicants will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
• Due to work performed within company facilities, U.S. citizenship is required

Compensation: The estimated salary range is USD 183,381 - 203,438 per year (typical range based on experience and other factors). Actual pay may vary.
