Compensation
Salary: USD 122,800 – 184,200 per year
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, operate, and maintain software and firmware components and computing systems software aligned with engineering, scientific, and manufacturing requirements.
- Apply the appropriate standards, processes, and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support engineering applications and products within the Targeting Business Unit.
- Interface with customers, suppliers, application users, and other technical and support personnel to ensure requirements are met and issues are resolved.
- Leverage experience across the full software development life cycle, including requirements, design, coding, testing, and integration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering field, with 8+ years of engineering experience; or 6+ years with a Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering; or, in lieu of a degree, an additional 4 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Object Oriented Programming with C++.
- Familiarity with software architecture concepts, design patterns, and object oriented design.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Batch.
- Background in developing embedded software for Linux or VxWorks environments.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies and frameworks, including Waterfall and/or Agile.
- Experience with version control systems (Git, GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket, ClearCase, etc.) and Agile planning tools (Rally, Jira, etc.).
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a minimum Secret clearance, with potential for additional customer-specified clearances prior to start.
