Job Description

Pacific Life is seeking a Senior Data Visualization Developer within Investments Technology to advance the data and analytics ecosystem that underpins portfolio management. This onsite role in Charlotte, NC centers on building and maturing visualization capabilities and data workflows to empower investment decisions. You will collaborate across teams to shape the data foundation used to manage portfolios.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and maintaining the overall data and analytics architecture, including data pipelines, models, data quality monitoring, analytic engines, integrations, and reporting environments
  • Establishing and refining processes to operate within a modern cloud-native stack using an Agile (scrum) and DevOps operating model
  • Guiding and mentoring internal and external technologists
  • Partnering with functional stakeholders to translate business capabilities into technical capabilities within the data and analytics environment
  • Collaborating with other technology groups across Pacific Life to integrate with upstream and downstream processes and technologies

Requirements

  • 5+ years of technology experience across visualization, reporting, analytics or related fields
  • 5+ years experience building visualizations and dashboards with tools such as Tableau and PowerBI
  • Knowledge and experience working with cloud-native data platforms (e.g. Snowflake)
  • Advanced SQL experience with exposure to DAX and MDX scripting
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

Base Pay Range

Base pay range: $125,100.00 - $152,900.00 per year. The figure reflects the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will depend on factors such as experience, qualifications, and geographic location. Most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
