Job Description
The Senior Associate Software Engineer role supports the AI-powered Code Security Scanner platform at Northern Trust, with focus on continuous feature development, platform scalability, and secure integration of LLM-driven security analysis in a cloud-native environment.

Compensation
USD 88,900 - 151,100 per year
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a software developer for the AI Code Scanner platform
- Deliver modernization, enhancements, and scalability initiatives
- Improve user experience, including reporting dashboards, workflow management, and administrative capabilities
- Implement secure authentication and authorization patterns
- Maintain and extend orchestration and scanning services
- Expand and manage integrations with LLM-based security analysis capabilities
- Enhance automated vulnerability analysis, reporting, and verification workflows
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Mid-level React development experience
- Experience with modern SPA architecture
- Experience building REST APIs and integrating authentication
- Expert-level Python development
- Experience with API design and integration
- Experience with automation and orchestration frameworks
- Experience with test automation and quality engineering
- Experience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Experience with agent-based workflows and automation frameworks
- Experience in application security and vulnerability management
