Software Engineer Staff (TS/SCI)
Job Description
Lockheed Martin is seeking a Staff Software Engineer with TS/SCI clearance to contribute to the GEOINT Collection neXt (GCX) program, supporting the GEOINT Information Management Services within an agile DevSecOps environment. This onsite role in Herndon, VA requires US citizenship and a current TS/SCI clearance, with the ability to translate complex user needs into reliable, secure software solutions across the development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and coordinate agile software development activities
- Design, develop, document, test, and debug software that provides solutions to mission-critical challenges
- Apply the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the software life cycle
- Leverage knowledge of hardware and software, the domain of business/mission applications, information processing techniques, and user input to craft software
- Correct program errors, document development efforts, and analyze system capabilities to resolve questions about program intent, outputs, inputs, and controls
- Ensure software standards are defined and consistently met
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
- Experience developing, modifying, and troubleshooting Java code
- Ability to troubleshoot and navigate multiple operating system environments (Linux and Windows)
- Ability to learn and implement new technologies
- Applicants must be US Citizens and will undergo a government security investigation; must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
- TS/SCI clearance is required for this role
