Software Engineer (Staff Level)
Job Description
Oceus Networks LLC is seeking a Staff Level Software Engineer to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot end-to-end solutions, systems, and products. In this onsite role in The Colony, TX, you will investigate product or solution issues and support loading, configuration, integration, verification, and troubleshooting work in a lab environment and on customer sites.
What you’ll do
- Collaborate with a team to design and develop complex software components and systems
- Partner with product management, QA, security, and infrastructure teams to align outcomes with business goals and customer needs
- Assist with challenging software and integration issues and work with cross-functional teams to drive efficient resolution
- Apply established best practices to meet scalability, performance, and security requirements
- Join solution planning activities such as design discussions, requirements refinement, technical scoping, prototype development, risk identification, and collaborative problem solving
- Stay committed to continuous learning to keep up with emerging tools, technologies, frameworks, and methodologies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship
- Current secret security clearance (or ability to obtain a clearance)
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science/Telecommunications or related field
- Current state-issued driver’s license
- Current U.S. passport

Competency and experience
- 2-4 years of related software engineering experience with telecommunications and systems integration
- Experience developing and optimizing production-grade applications using modern programming languages such as Go, Rust, Java, C++, or Python
- Understanding of software architecture and distributed systems design for complex subsystem implementation
- Ability to diagnose multi-layer issues across code, infrastructure, networking, and security boundaries
- Knowledge of secure system design principles, threat modeling, and compliance-oriented engineering approaches
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, including clarity when conveying complex technical information
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality results
- Ability to solve problems with minimum supervision and learn quickly in a team environment
Preferred qualifications
- Current U.S. Government Security Clearance
- Working knowledge of wireless technologies such as LTE and GSM
