Responsibilities

  • Interpret user needs to establish software design and performance criteria
  • Identify and fix defects in existing software
  • Suggest enhancements to documentation and software development process standards
  • Design and implement new features or modify existing software
  • Integrate software into new or updated systems or environments
  • Create simple queries for databases
  • Apply knowledge of ITOM, ITSM, HRSD, CSM and Service Portal
  • Develop using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and related databases
  • Produce or review software and system documentation
  • Lead teams appropriate to the project methodology
  • Design or implement complex database interfaces and queries
  • Develop algorithms to meet performance and functional standards
  • Assist in developing and executing test procedures for software components
  • Analyze performance standards, consult with users and engineers, study data flows and processes to craft solutions
  • Modify software to fix errors, adapt to new hardware, or improve performance
  • Design, develop and modify software systems using scientific analysis and modeling
  • Develop timing-critical algorithms and oversee quality control of team products
  • Apply improvements to documentation and software development processes
  • Oversee one or more software development teams ensuring work aligns with process constraints
  • Collaborate with system and hardware engineers to determine requirements and limitations
  • Coordinate software system installation and monitor operation to ensure specifications are met

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required
  • Four years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may substitute for a bachelor’s degree
  • Two years of experience developing and customizing core ITSM applications including Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, and Service Catalog
  • Four years of IT application systems experience delivering technology solutions
  • Experience creating and implementing scripts, business rules, policies, ACLs and configuring or modifying ServiceNow applications
  • Experience integrating third-party software and APIs with ServiceNow using REST and SOAP
  • Experience coding in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AngularJS, JSON or other ServiceNow related languages
  • Four years of ServiceNow implementations experience
  • Two years of experience developing on the ServiceNow Platform
  • ServiceNow System Administrator or ServiceNow Application Developer certification required

Salary and Benefits

The likely salary range for this position is $195,500 - $264,500 per year. This is not a guarantee of compensation; final salary is determined by experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements and could fall outside the stated range.
