Software Engineer – Platform Performance & Data Analytics

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Software Engineer focused on platform performance and data analytics to design, develop, and deliver advanced analytics solutions for platform performance metrics. The role is based on-site in Fort Worth, TX and involves collaboration within a cross-functional engineering team throughout the solution lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to building software solutions within large scale, data rich ecosystems with emphasis on scalability and maintainability.
• Assist in translating stakeholder needs into technical designs and development tasks under guidance from senior engineers.
• Adhere to and help maintain technical standards across software, tooling, and data platforms.
• Support the development of proof of concept prototypes to validate approaches and reduce technical risk.
• Participate in formal design reviews and comply with engineering standards and applicable cybersecurity controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience with Python, C++, or C#, with familiarity in object oriented programming principles, APIs, and basic design patterns
• Experience with the software development process in a team environment, including peer reviews, unit testing, configuration management, and defect tracking
• Experience using agile software development tools and methodologies such as Git, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, and GitLab
• Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility requiring special access, and a Secret clearance updated within the last five years is required to be considered.
