Job Description
An early career software engineer role with Lockheed Martin RMS in Camden, NJ, focusing on modeling and simulation software for DoD programs using C++, Java, and Python within an Agile framework.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, integrate, and test new capabilities for multiple DoD products and technologies.
- Create and refine models of real world weapons, radars, and Command and Control systems.
- Identify and resolve software and system defects independently.
- Break down complex problems to craft effective solutions.
- Design, modify, develop, and integrate software for target modeling and simulation systems using agile methods.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and maintainability.
- Optimize algorithms to improve performance and efficiency.
- Execute experiments to verify functionality and performance against requirements.
- Engage with CI/CD processes to support continuous integration and deployment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in C++, Python, and/or Java.
- Working knowledge of Linux command line and environment.
- Experience with software design and testing practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
- US citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance at the SECRET level.

Compensation
Base pay range: $75,000 to $142,760 per year.
