Software Engineer (Mid)
Job Description
A mid-level software engineer role located onsite in Washington, DC, focusing on designing, building, integrating, and sustaining secure software and data-driven solutions to support mission operations. The position requires U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.
Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, document, test, and debug applications and systems that rely on logical and mathematical processing.
- Perform multidisciplinary research and collaborate with hardware engineers and equipment designers to plan, design, develop, and deploy electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software.
- Evaluate user requirements and analyze system capabilities to resolve issues related to program intent, outputs, input data acquisition, and controls; produce operating instructions; contribute to the design and development of compilers, assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
- Ensure adherence to established software standards.
- Leverage cloud platforms, system integration, and database management expertise as part of the development process.
- Maintain a strategic mindset, stay current with industry trends, and align engineering goals with business objectives.
- Certifications in project management and related technologies are advantageous.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with four to seven years of software development experience.
- Strong proficiency across multiple programming languages, software design methodologies, and development tools.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
- Ability to design and implement complex software components with minimal supervision.
- Active Top Secret clearance with CI Polygraph.

Pay Transparency
The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $113,000.00 - $188,000.00 annually.
