Job Description
Software Engineer Level 1 or 2 within Northrop Grumman Space Sector will focus on developing, integrating, deploying, and sustaining satellite ground software. Onsite locations include Aurora, CO; Linthicum, MD; or Morrisville, NC. A Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
Responsibilities
- Full stack development across the operating system, platform, and mission-specific software layers
- Work across languages and toolchains including Go, Python, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes and Docker, AWS infrastructure provisioning, PKI, and processes for static code analysis remediation
- Act as a self-starting contributor capable of making decisions with the overall project budget and schedule in mind
- Develop software delivering command and control functionality for hardware systems, including sending commands, processing acknowledgments, and integrating across interfaces
- Create software enabling activity planning and constraint checking to achieve mission outcomes
- Design software that visualizes a complex and dynamic environment in 2D and 3D, with decision tools, contextual insight, and user-centric interfaces
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 0 years of development experience; 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility at time of application
- Knowledge of Agile programs
- Knowledge of design, build, and deployment of software products
- Knowledge of producing software architecture documentation
- Experience with Python, Go, AWS, GitLab workflows, and Docker/Kubernetes
- Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of development experience; 0 years with a Master’s degree; 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- 2 years with Agile programs
- 2 years of experience with the design, build, and deployment of software products
- 2 years of experience in producing software architecture documentation
- 2 years of experience with Python, Go, AWS, GitLab workflows, and Docker/Kubernetes
- Prior experience with development of microservice software architecture
