Software Engineer Lead - Java/Oracle

Software Engineer Lead role in PNC’s Technology organization, providing technical leadership and SME support for enterprise Java and Oracle applications.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert (SME) for assigned applications, providing technical leadership and representing application capabilities, risks, and priorities to business and technology stakeholders.
• Lead support, maintenance, and continuous improvement for enterprise applications built on Java and Oracle, leveraging SQL and ETL to support high availability, performance, and scalability.
• Monitor application health and operational performance using Dynatrace, proactively identify issues, drive root cause analysis, and implement preventive solutions.
• Partner with development, infrastructure, security, and business teams to troubleshoot complex production issues, validate integrations, and support end-to-end application stability.
• Create and lead technical design and software solution development.
• Propose and design software solutions for complex business needs, preparing the required technical and procedural documentation.
• Facilitate resolution of complex problems.
• Provide technical guidance to colleagues; review coding, testing, and documentation of software.
• Apply modern principles, methodologies, and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities.

Pay Transparency

• Base Salary: USD 86,250 - 158,125 per year
• Incentive eligible; payment based on company, business, and/or individual performance
