Software Engineer III - Java Full Stack Developer
Job Description
Deloitte is seeking a Software Engineer III with Java full-stack expertise to contribute to Value-Based Care initiatives by delivering robust Java/Spring services and APIs, React front-end components, and Python services within a healthcare-focused environment. This onsite role in Jericho, NY combines technical leadership with hands-on development across multiple technologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and implementation across the frontend (React) and backend (Python) with an emphasis on scalable, maintainable design.
- Design data models and schemas, author and optimize complex SQL, manage migrations, and boost performance.
- Define and uphold standards for code quality, testing, CI/CD pipelines, documentation, and observability (logging, metrics, tracing).
- Create and optimize scalable software for AI platforms and consumer devices.
- Integrate load, stress, and real-user scenario testing into development and production cycles.
- Monitor and address performance, reliability, and scalability challenges in complex systems.
- Collaborate with engineers working on custom hardware, embedded systems, and cloud infrastructure.
- Apply advanced profiling, benchmarking, and system optimization techniques.
- Contribute to solution architecture, API design, security, and system integration.
- Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project teams, and cross-functional technical staff, escalating issues when engagement management input is needed.
- Lead client engagement workstreams independently or collaboratively to drive process improvement, optimize workflows, address quality deficits, and achieve operational outcomes.

- Salary: USD 113,300 - 188,900 per year
