Responsibilities
- Deliver secure, scalable software solutions across multiple business functions from design through deployment, applying creative problem solving to complex technical challenges
- Create secure, high‑quality production code and maintain algorithms that integrate with required systems
- Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met by code
- Drive the team’s adoption of enterprise‑authorized AI assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes, establishing consistent validation standards and promoting reuse across the team
- Apply knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including AI‑assisted development and automation capabilities, to boost automation value
- Gather, analyze, synthesize, and visualize data from large, diverse data sets to continuously improve software applications and systems
- Proactively identify hidden patterns in data and use these insights to enhance coding hygiene and system architecture
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events exploring new and emerging technologies
- Support a culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect within the team
Requirements
- AI fundamentals with demonstrated understanding of core AI concepts and practical knowledge of an integrated development environment
- Hands‑on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Deep understanding of cloud architecture, virtualization, APIs, data models, event‑driven solutions, and modern software language frameworks
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Proven experience leading effective use of approved AI‑assisted software development tools with the ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security
- Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations and secure handling of inputs/outputs, plus experience coaching engineers on safe, compliant adoption
- General knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Solid understanding of agile practices such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (for example cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
