Job Description
ASD is seeking an experienced Embedded Flight Software Engineer to join its software team in Manhattan Beach. The role centers on board level software development and testing for flight hardware, ensuring reliable connectivity, proper installation, boot, and checkout of flight systems. A strong background in C++, embedded Linux, and VxWorks will help drive robust embedded software across flight platforms.
Responsibilities
- Develop and test board-level software for flight hardware
- Create software to validate flight hardware and demonstrate connectivity
- Install software on flight hardware, boot the system, and perform checkout procedures
- Contribute as a member of a software engineering team performing embedded software development activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
- Experience developing software with C++ and object-oriented programming
- Proficiency in VxWorks 6.9 and 7.0
- Embedded Linux experience
