LexisNexis Risk Solutions is hiring a Software Engineer III in Miamisburg, OH (onsite). This role supports the research, design, development, and testing of software components within a defined product area, partnering with technical teams and stakeholders to deliver reliable solutions.

Role Overview

The Software Engineer III contributes to building and improving software capabilities through development execution, validation, and ongoing refinement. Responsibilities include translating moderately complex requirements into software design, implementing development processes and coding standards, and resolving technical issues as they arise.

This position operates across development environments such as Agile and Waterfall, while coordinating with key stakeholders to ensure requirements are finalized and implemented effectively.

Responsibilities

Interface with other technical personnel and team members to help finalize requirements.
Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.
Collaborate with development team members to understand moderately complex product requirements and translate them into software designs.
Implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.
Work in different development environments (including Agile and Waterfall) while partnering with stakeholders.
Resolve technical issues as needed.
Keep current with new technology developments.
Complete bug fixes and other duties as assigned.

Key Requirements

Security Clearance: No active clearance required; must be eligible for TS/SCI.
Experience: Minimum 3+ years of Software Engineering experience.
Education: BS in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Proficiency with data manipulation languages.
Understanding of data modeling and data science principles.
Ability to work with very large data and complex data models.
Proficiency with development languages including (but not limited to) Java/J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, C/C++, HTML, XML, SQL, Windows, UNIX, and .Net.
Familiarity with industry best practices, including code coverage.
Ability to work with internal and external technology resources.
Knowledge of software development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
Knowledge of data manipulation languages, data storage subsystems, and test-driven development.
Ability to complete moderately complex bug fixes.
Good oral and written communications skills.
