Job Description

ARC's Traverse team is seeking a Software Engineer III to help design, build, and deliver software across the full product stack. You will collaborate with Product Owners, Solution Owners, and senior technical staff to translate business needs into scalable solutions aligned with ARC’s architecture and development standards, all while contributing to agile product delivery.

Compensation

Salary: USD 93,400 - 139,610 per year

Responsibilities

  • Implement software solutions using design patterns and industry best practices to optimize product delivery and enhancements.
  • Partner with product owners and business SMEs to analyze needs and engineer sustainable, aligned technical solutions.
  • Drive creation and modification of product portfolio components, coordinating necessary technical resources to ensure architectural and development standard alignment.
  • Develop applications following best practices and adopt new methodologies that increase business flexibility and agility.
  • Stay current with development tools, patterns, and methodologies, communicating results and ideas clearly to key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of application programming across frontend, server-side, and database queries, with experience spanning the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • 3+ years of full-cycle application development (design, development, delivery).
  • 1 year of experience with Agile, Scrum and continuous integration and delivery.
  • 2 years of software development using modern technologies, including AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB), microservices and containerized architectures, and open-source technologies such as Node.js, Python, Java, and React.
  • Working knowledge of integrating AI and LLM APIs into production applications, with knowledge of RAG, vector databases, LLMs, and prompt engineering.
  • Experience with AI coding tools such as GitLab Duo, GitHub Copilot, Cursor IDE, and similar tools to accelerate development workflows.
  • Ability to translate functional requirements into technical requirements and solution definitions.
  • Strong communication skills, able to convey technical information to internal and external customers and all management levels.
  • Intellectual curiosity to challenge existing approaches and adapt to evolving business and market needs.
  • A collaborative mindset and a drive to help peers meet project timelines on larger initiatives.
