Software Engineer III
Job Description
Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Software Engineer III to design, develop, troubleshoot, and enhance networking software for campus and branch products, requiring strong C/C++ skills and collaboration with product management and architects.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement software enhancements, updates, and programming changes for subsystems such as operating systems and networking protocols in Junos and Junos Evolved software.
- Analyze design requirements and perform coding, testing, and integration activities per project guidelines.
- Develop and execute portions of testing plans and documentation; identify and debug code issues and propose improvements.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to deliver high quality, reliable, and cost effective software solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain software for forwarding ASICs.
- Communicate progress, design status, and technical issues with project stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 2–4 years of software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in C and C++ programming and software systems design tools.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of software systems testing methodologies, including test plan execution and debugging.
- Experience designing software systems for different forward ASICs.
- Working knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols.
- Willingness to explore and contribute to various software components to build next generation networking solutions.

- Salary: USD 92,700 - 187,500 per year
