Job Description

JPMorganChase is seeking an experienced Software Engineer III to join its Asset and Wealth Management infrastructure in Jersey City, NJ (onsite). This role focuses on designing and delivering secure, scalable technology solutions across multiple technical domains within an agile team, with a compensation range of USD 133,000 - 185,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and troubleshoot software solutions, applying innovative approaches to tackle non-routine problems and craft effective resolutions.
  • Deliver secure, production-grade code and manage algorithms that operate in concert with related systems.
  • Utilize enterprise-approved AI coding assistants to提升 code quality, speed delivery, and boost productivity on complex projects, including code generation, refactoring, unit tests, and documentation; validate outputs via peer reviews, automated testing, and secure coding standards, and share learnings as reusable patterns to elevate the team.
  • Apply SDLC tooling, including AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to maximize the value of automation.
  • Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure code respects design constraints.
  • Collect, analyze, synthesize, and visualize data from large and diverse datasets to drive ongoing software improvements.
  • Proactively identify hidden data patterns to inform improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture.
  • Adhere to SRE, DevOps, and observability best practices to enhance platform health.
  • Analyze large volumes of structured, unstructured, and telemetry data to uncover trends, anomalies, and actionable insights.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in site reliability engineering with at least five years of practical experience.
  • Additionally, at least two years of experience leading technologists to tackle complex technical items within your domain.
  • Experience in SRE, DevOps, or platform engineering environments.
  • Exposure to observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, or CloudWatch.
  • Foundational understanding of automation, operational tooling, and event-driven workflows.
  • Foundational knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, and cloud architecture.
  • Experience leading teams in the safe use of enterprise-authorized AI capabilities for reliability engineering, including validation practices and awareness of data sensitivity.
  • Experience hiring, developing, and recognizing talent.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java/Spring Boot, or .NET.
  • Solid knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a given discipline (e.g., Cloud, AI, Android).
  • Proficiency with CI/CD practices, containerization/orchestration, and troubleshooting common networking issues.
  • Ability to establish and reinforce organization-wide practices for reviewing AI-assisted recommendations and escalating uncertain decisions while maintaining resiliency, security, and auditability.
