Software Engineer II, CDS
Job Description
Collins Aerospace is hiring a Software Engineer II for the Resilient Connectivity Products team in Aguadilla, PR (onsite, 5 days a week).
Responsibilities
- Work with a dynamic, cross-functional software team to translate System Requirements into Software Requirements and UML/SysML models for a large-scale program
- Support stakeholders by answering technical questions, troubleshooting issues, and proposing solutions to maintain smooth execution and customer satisfaction
- Partner across domains to maintain and improve software design and code aligned with customer requirements and certification standards
- Own high-quality software builds in an integrated test environment, validating performance and reliability through rigorous testing
Requirements
- Typically requires a STEM degree and 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field
- Demonstrated professional communication in English (verbal and written)
- Experience with Embedded Development using object-oriented design
- Experience with development tool sets, including Jira and Subversion/Git/Version Management
- Direct involvement and success in Agile methodologies
- U.S. citizenship required to access information under the program/contract
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance after the start date

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with requirements analysis and requirements decomposition

- Knowledge of DevSecOps and CI/CD
- Experience with Graphical User Interfaces
- Experience with databases
- Experience integrating/deploying software to hardware solutions
Security Clearance
- DoD Clearance: Secret
Site / Work Location Constraints
- Onsite role at Aguadilla, PR, 5 days a week
- Must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment
- Relocation is not offered
