Job Description

What you get is a position on the Platform, Data and Tools team at Amazon Robotics, onsite in North Reading, MA. You’ll contribute to onboard mapping, perception, motion planning and control software, and you’ll help build ML training and deployment pipelines plus data tools. The role offers a competitive salary range of USD 143,700 to 194,400 per year and a benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, maternity and parental leave options, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize runtime performance of core algorithms by leveraging underlying hardware acceleration capabilities
  • Integrate new sensors and hardware components into the autonomy software stack
  • Develop and customize our Nvidia Jetpack based platform and OS
  • Build data pipelines and tools to enable ML development workflows
  • Develop software to enable remote diagnostics, recovery and control of autonomous robots
  • Create visualization tools for analyzing and debugging robot behavior
  • Design and develop software interfaces to support hardware testing and manufacturing processes

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices across the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with CUDA kernels or ML/low-level kernels
  • Embedded development in C/C++
  • Experience in cloud-based development and production environments such as AWS
  • Experience building tools for building, testing, releasing or monitoring
  • Experience with Unix or device technologies under development, familiarity with flashing firmware, basic device debugging and reading/pulling device logs
  • Experience building custom distributions using Yocto or Buildroot
