As a Software Engineer II within JPMorganChase's Corporate Cloud Foundational Services, you will design, develop, and troubleshoot software components of secure, scalable cloud platform capabilities in an agile team.
Responsibilities
- Delivers standard software solutions, designs, develops, and troubleshoots technical issues
- Writes secure, production grade code and performs reviews and debugging of peers' work
- Considers upstream and downstream systems and technical implications during design, coding, and troubleshooting
- Leverages the SDLC toolchain to increase automation value
- Applies structured troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve basic complexity problems
- Collects and analyzes large, diverse data sets to identify issues and support decisions that promote secure, stable applications
- Continually learns and applies system processes, methodologies, and skills for secure, stable code and systems
- Contributes to a team culture focused on opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering plus at least two years of applied experience
- Hands-on experience across system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Experience building, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern languages such as Java, Python, Terraform, and database query languages
- Experience across the complete Software Development Life Cycle
- Exposure to agile methodologies including CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Developing knowledge of software applications and technical processes in a discipline such as cloud, AI/ML, mobile, etc.
- Ability to independently tackle design and functionality challenges
- Experience with cloud technologies, particularly public cloud and AWS
