Job Description

The Software Engineer - Customer Feedback role supports Apple’s Beta Software Program on a small team, with an emphasis on building internal tools and systems that read, report on, and analyze participant feedback. The work spans application, API, and database development to help manage participants, content, permissions, and configuration data.

Role Summary

You will help develop and extend software used to manage the end-to-end feedback lifecycle. The position includes building participant and content management capabilities across a large and evolving schema, designing data processing flows, and partnering closely with an ML team as feedback reading and analysis systems evolve toward ML-powered features and async processing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and extend applications that manage participants, content, permissions, and configuration across a large and evolving schema
  • Design data processing flows that move feedback through its lifecycle
  • Support feedback reading, reporting, and analysis systems in close collaboration with the ML team as these systems adopt ML-powered features and async processing

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of industry experience in software development
  • Technical/Engineering BS or equivalent industry experience
  • Strong, hands-on coding fundamentals across at least one backend and one client/frontend stack
  • Willingness to work in Swift and Ruby specifically, regardless of prior depth in either
  • Strong SQL skills and relational data modeling experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and informal environment, adapting to changing priorities quickly

Preferred Qualifications

  • Enjoys close, daily partnership with users
  • Comfortable moving between projects rather than focusing strictly on a single layer, with a software engineering mindset
  • Interest in continually learning and exploring new technologies
  • Experience using Claude or other agentic coding tools to prototype, implement, and test
  • Strong collaboration skills with excellent written and verbal communication

Compensation

The base pay range for this role is $142,300 - $263,300 per year. Base pay will depend on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple benefit, compensation, and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
