Job Description
Software Engineer on Zions Bancorporation's Enterprise Architecture Governance team, developing innovative software solutions and guiding testing and configuration management, with a focus on AI integration, cloud platforms, and microservices to support mission-critical applications.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement software solutions aligned with business requirements.
- Lead testing and configuration management activities to ensure quality and consistency.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver integrated technology solutions.
- Provide support and ongoing maintenance for existing systems, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Participate in code reviews and offer constructive feedback to teammates.
- Design, develop, and optimize database technologies for performance and reliability.
- Use version control systems to manage codebases and deployment workflows.
- Apply DevOps practices to streamline development and operations processes.
- Integrate cloud platforms and microservices architectures into software projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 4+ years of software development experience.
- Experience with database technologies.
- Experience with version control systems.
- Experience with DevOps tooling.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Other directly related experience considered.
- Experience with AI Platforms (Gemini or Copilot preferred) and AI prompt engineering.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
- Experience with SAFe or other agile frameworks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Financial or Banking services experience is a plus.

Work location
Hybrid work arrangement with a minimum of three days per week in the office at the Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.
