Job Description
The Software Engineer 3 (Contingent) role supports the Technology Department’s Currency Transaction Reporting (CTR) ecosystem through on-site work in Irving, TX. The position centers on building Java-based services and APIs, delivering data pipelines for transaction reporting and fraud detection, and contributing to reliability improvements across both back-end and front-end components.
Role Focus
In this contingent Software Engineer engagement, you will work within the CTR ecosystem to support anti-money laundering and regulatory reporting capabilities. The work spans Java microservices and APIs, data pipeline development for reporting and detection, incident resolution and CI/CD practices, and front-end stabilization using React.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices and APIs that support anti-money laundering and regulatory reporting functions.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to implement enhancements and modernize existing applications in the CTR ecosystem.
- Build and optimize transaction reporting and fraud detection data pipelines using Python and Spark.
- Participate in incident resolution, apply CI/CD practices, and contribute to modernization initiatives that improve platform reliability and operational efficiency.
- Support stabilization of front-end applications using React to help maintain a seamless user experience.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience with Java, Spring Boot, and React.
- Proficiency in Python and Spark, including experience creating data pipelines.
- Exposure to cloud platforms, including GCP, with a focus on developing cloud competency.
- Ability to learn quickly, adapt to new technologies, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.

- Experience with AI tools such as GitHub Copilot.

Location and Pay
Location: Irving, TX (On-site)
Pay range: USD 50–55 per hour
