Software Engineer
Job Description
Starfish Space Inc. is seeking a software engineer to help develop and test autonomous space environment software for its Otter satellite servicing vehicle.
Responsibilities
- Develop space environment simulation software and supporting infrastructure to support refinement of autonomous software
- Build and maintain cloud infrastructure
- Automate simulation analysis to improve iteration speed
- Support integrations with satellite compute hardware
Requirements
- Must be a US person (citizen or permanent resident)
- Willing to work onsite in Tukwila, Washington
- Education or experience in software development
- Capable of working in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment
Technologies
- Python
- C++
Desired Experience
- B.S. degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or similar field
- Working knowledge of Python and C++
- Previous experience with numerical simulations
ITAR / Export Compliance
- Must conform to U.S. government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms
- Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
Location
- Tukwila, WA (onsite)
Compensation
- USD 100,000 - 180,000 per year
