Job Description

Embedded software engineering role responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software for Clear Align’s EO/IR imaging and sensing systems, contributing to performance, reliability, and compliance across the product lifecycle. This onsite position is based in Nashua, New Hampshire.

Responsibilities

  • Assimilate Clear Align's software architectures, development tools, and coding standards.
  • Assess existing embedded software designs and accompanying documentation.
  • Establish development environments and master source control and issue-tracking systems.
  • Assist in debugging and validation of embedded software under supervision.
  • Collaborate with hardware and systems engineering teams to coordinate integration.
  • Design, implement, and debug embedded software components independently.
  • Engage in peer code reviews and participate in design discussions.
  • Integrate software with hardware platforms and verify new product features.
  • Support software QA, optimization efforts, and production issue resolution.
  • Document software designs and changes clearly and thoroughly.
  • Deliver robust, production-ready embedded software solutions.
  • Review code and designs to ensure alignment with requirements and specifications.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.
  • Improve software performance, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Support system-level testing and troubleshooting for fielded products.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering is required.
  • Professional software engineering experience.
  • Experience with embedded systems and Linux kernel or driver development.
  • Proficiency in C, C++, and Python.
  • Strong documentation and writing skills.
  • U.S. Person eligible for a Department of Defense security clearance.
  • Minimum 4 years of software engineering experience.
