Job Description
Liberty Mutual is seeking a Software Engineer to join its Indianapolis team in a hybrid work arrangement. The role centers on third party integrations and the development of scalable APIs and cloud-native components within an agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Collaborative partner: Working with the I Buy I Sell - Third Party Integrations team of product owners and engineers, you will tackle technical challenges and ensure quality as we build technologies to meet customers and partners where they are.

Requirements
- A minimum of three years of software engineering experience.
- Experience in an agile environment using Scrum, Kanban or XP.
- Demonstrated success in platform modernization initiatives, utilizing technologies such as REST; micro services; cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud; and JavaScript, TypeScript, and NodeJS.
- Ability to code in multiple languages, including an object-oriented language, preferably Java/J2EE or C#/NET.
- Strong oral and written communication skills—and the ability to explain your decision-making process to non-engineers.
- Collaborative, adaptable working style with curiosity and initiative, and the ability to prioritize time and efforts.
- A thorough grasp of technology concepts, business operations, design and development tools, system architecture and technical standards.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps tools.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent experience.
