Software Developer Subject Matter Expert

Lion Federal is seeking a Software Developer Subject Matter Expert to join our on-site team in Chantilly, Virginia. This role centers on modernizing legacy applications, delivering cloud-based solutions, and contributing to scalable, secure software within an Agile environment. A TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph is required to work on this program.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain software applications in AWS-based cloud environments
• Modernize legacy systems and migrate them toward cloud-native architectures
• Design and sustain RESTful APIs and full-stack applications
• Work with Java, Spring Boot, Angular (TypeScript), and Elasticsearch
• Develop and oversee custom ETL pipelines
• Create scripts to deploy and configure applications in EC2 environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum setting
• Conduct unit testing, perform peer code reviews, and execute automated tests (eg, Selenium)
• Support containerized and virtualized environments
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering best practices

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph
• Bachelor’s degree plus 15+ years of experience, or additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
