Software Developer

Build and support scalable software solutions as part of the Investment Operations Technology team in Wheaton, IL. This in-person role focuses on designing, developing, testing, and maintaining applications that help the business move reliably and efficiently. You will work in an Agile/Scrum environment and collaborate closely with teammates to deliver software the organization can use right away, while keeping quality and maintainability at the center.

What you’ll do

• Develop, test, and deploy high-quality software applications using programming languages.
• Design system architectures and build scalable microservices that support business growth and help ensure high availability.
• Work within the Agile/Scrum framework so the team consistently delivers value the business can use right away.
• Collaborate in Agile teams to plan sprints, participate in code reviews, and improve development processes using version control tools.
• Apply design patterns and software best practices to create maintainable, efficient codebases.
• Document technical specifications, system workflows, and operational procedures to support ongoing support and future enhancements.

What you bring

• Proven software development experience with a strong understanding of programming languages.
• Hands-on experience designing scalable systems using microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban.
• Experience with system design for projects focused on scalability and performance optimization.
• Excellent problem-solving skills paired with effective communication in collaborative team settings.
