Sitecore developer

Spire Systems Inc is hiring a contract Sitecore developer for a hybrid role in Jersey City, NJ. The position focuses on Sitecore architecture and hands-on development, with a strong emphasis on PowerShell scripting.

Role Overview

In this role, you will support Sitecore architecture and development across multiple capabilities, including custom modules and components, headless development, and integrations. The work involves building solutions using C#, NextJS, GraphQL, PowerShell, and the .NET Framework, along with JavaScript and front-end standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with Sitecore platform architecture, including data models, templates, and components such as SXA, JSS, and Sitecore Content Serialization.
• Apply knowledge of Sitecore configuration, content management, and personalization features.
• Understand internals related to integrations with SQL Server and Solr, including Sitecore headless development and Sitecore Cloud platforms.
• Implement Sitecore development using C#, NextJS, GraphQL, PowerShell, and .NET Framework.
• Develop custom Sitecore modules and components, including integrations with external APIs and systems such as Analytics and marketing automation.
• Maintain strong front-end fundamentals using JavaScript (ES6+), React, NextJS, CSS, and HTML5, including browser differences and polyfills.
• Use version control and delivery practices, including Git and Bitbucket, deployment strategies, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead teams and collaborate with business partners or customers to help guide project direction.
• Support the full software development life cycle, including coordination of project meetings, project scheduling from design through deployment, and delivery of a Ready-to-Ship product.
• Apply object-oriented design concepts and established software development processes and methods.
• Troubleshoot issues effectively, optimizing and refactoring code as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Strong emphasis on PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with Sitecore platform architecture, including data models, templates, and components such as SXA, JSS, and Sitecore Content Serialization, plus Sitecore configuration, content management, personalization, and internals of integration with SQL Server and Solr.
• Experience with Sitecore headless development and Sitecore Cloud platforms.
• Proficiency in Sitecore development using C#, NextJS, GraphQL, PowerShell, and .NET Framework.
• Expertise in building custom Sitecore modules and components, including integrations with external APIs and systems such as Analytics and marketing automation.
• Solid knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), React, NextJS, CSS, HTML5, and browser shortcomings with polyfills.
• Hands-on experience with Git/Bitbucket, deployment strategies, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven experience leading teams, working with business partners or customers, and guiding project direction.
• Strong hands-on experience across the entire development life cycle, including scheduling from design through deployment to final Ready-to-Ship delivery.
• Experience delivering software in a SCRUM environment using Agile methodologies.
• Troubleshooting, code optimization, and refactoring skills.
• Green Card / US Citizen requirements.
• Ability to come on W2 payroll.

Compensation

• Type: Contract
• Pay: USD 65.00 - 71.42 per hour
