Job Description

Senior Software Engineer for the Sensors Test Engineering team building and improving software for production test environments in Burnsville, MN.

Responsibilities

  • Lead research, design, development, integration, and testing of software solutions and networks
  • Develop and maintain production test software used in manufacturing environments
  • Troubleshoot software and electrical device issues on the production line
  • Provide engineering guidance on design concepts, requirements, equipment utilization, and coding techniques
  • Collaborate with engineers, operators, and technicians to resolve production and test issues
  • Design and review major functional test software components
  • Present technical information and project findings to peers, management, and customers
  • Develop processes, procedures, and best practices for test software development
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations
  • Manage multiple projects and adapt to changing business requirements

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with 6+ years of relevant experience, OR
    • Advanced degree in a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience, OR
    • 12+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • Strong programming experience with:
    • C
    • C++
    • Visual Basic (VB)
    • Visual C++
    • Visual Studio

    • Signal generators
    • Power supplies
    • Thermal chambers
  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of AS9100
  • Familiarity with avionics communication buses, including:
    • MIL-STD-1553
    • ARINC
    • CAN
    • RS485
    • RS232
    • IEEE 1394
  • Experience with ALM/JIRA and Agile project management
  • Experience with Java or JavaScript

Contract Details

  • Job type: Contract

  • Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
  • Schedule: 1st Shift | 5/40 Work Schedule (5 days / 40 hours per week)
  • Work arrangement: Onsite
  • Work location: Burnsville, MN (in person)
  • Contract position with potential opportunity to go direct based on business needs
