Senior Software Engineer

Join Cotiviti to support and improve production software within the Cotiviti product suite, working across engineering, offshore teams, business owners, and project management.

Responsibilities

• Support and enhance high-quality software modules across the Cotiviti product suite
• Analyze and resolve software issues reported by internal or external customers
• Document application specifications, design, features, and operations prior to production rollout
• Apply proficient knowledge within the primary discipline and build knowledge across related disciplines
• Implement performance and availability improvements through solution enhancements
• Communicate technical and operational issues to engineering and business leadership in a timely manner
• Develop systems while ensuring adherence to applicable technology standards
• Explore new ideas and contribute innovations that improve efficiency and results
• Continuously expand knowledge of new technologies selected and integrated into the Cotiviti product suite
• Execute appropriate facets of the Cotiviti Software Development Lifecycle with a continuous improvement mindset
• Mentor other developers
• Complete responsibilities listed in the annual Performance Plan
• Handle special projects and other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Education: BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
• Experience: 4-5 years optimizing and tuning SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers
• Programming: 4-5 years with Java or Python
• Platforms: 4-5 years with Appian and Cloudera Hadoop
• Databases: 4-5 years with Microsoft SQL Server, HBASE, and Hive
• Web services: 4-5 years using Java/Spring Boot
• Agile: Strong knowledge and application of SAFe agile practices (preferred)
• Data: Proficiency working with large data sets
