Senior Software Engineer

Senior Software Engineer role with V2X on the NSI program, building and maturing software within a multi-discipline Agile and DevSecOps development team in Indianapolis, IN.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, test, and document software for NSI products
• Perform integration and testing in the state-of-the-art lab in Indianapolis
• Work in an Agile environment with cross-functional collaboration
• Develop software by tailoring reusable components and integrating software components on virtual machines and target hardware
• Contribute to maturing and improving processes and products
• Follow coding standards and best practices
• Maintain configuration management for all code

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of related experience in Software Development
• Experience with one or more: C++, Java, Python
• Familiarity with Object Oriented Analysis (OOA) and Object-Oriented Design (OOD)
• Linux operating system concepts
• Familiarity with Agile and DevSecOps Software Development process environments
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to travel up to 10% to support customer meetings, demonstrations, and integration/installation/interop testing events
• Ability to reside in the Indianapolis area to support lab testing and other team events
• Familiarity with Networks (TCP/IP, UDP, VLANs, Wi-Fi, Firewalls, etc.)
• Familiarity with Virtual Machine environments and containers
• Familiarity with one or more Agile techniques: LeSS, Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban, SAFe, eXtreme Programming, etc.
• Knowledge of secure coding techniques
• Familiarity with automated testing and an automated test framework
