Senior Software Engineer

Lumijes is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build the core intelligence of a platform for real-time robotics, 3D reconstruction, multi-spectral imaging, and edge NVIDIA Orin integration. This role offers three openings based in Gainesville, FL or Gulf Breeze, FL, with remote consideration for the right candidate.

Salary: USD 120,000 - 160,000 per yearly

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain real-time control of robotic systems, including dynamic path planning, motion control, and synchronized hardware and sensor operations guided by live 3D point clouds.
• Design scanning trajectories that maintain stable stand-off distances, ensure complete surface coverage, and provide collision avoidance across complex geometries.
• Build and optimize a multi-sensor MIPI data pipeline to process and fuse concurrent streams from several imaging channels.
• Create precise 3D surface reconstructions from point clouds and register multi-spectral images onto those models with high accuracy.
• Ensure motion robustness by detecting and compensating for small, real-time subject movements during operation.
• Leverage NVIDIA Jetson/Orin platforms with CUDA, TensorRT, and JetPack SDK to achieve real-time performance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development with a proven track record of shipping complex products.
• Strong production experience in C++ and/or Python for high-performance, real-time environments.
• Hands-on NVIDIA Jetson/Orin experience: CUDA, TensorRT, JetPack SDK, with real-world constraints.
• Computer vision expertise with OpenCV, PCL, 3D reconstruction, and point cloud processing beyond tutorials.
• Robotics experience with ROS/ROS2, trajectory generation, and real-time motion control.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, EE, or a related field; AI modeling experience is a strong plus.
