Great River Technology, a Data Device Corporation subsidiary, offers an on site Senior Software Engineer role in Dallas-Fort Worth, TX. This position provides a competitive annual salary of USD 125,000 and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support you and your family. You will architect, develop, verify, and maintain Windows and Linux software for advanced hardware systems across the full SDLC, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior engineers in a regulated mil/aero environment.

Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain high performance C/C++ software components, including GUI based test applications and API wrapper DLLs for SDK products on Windows and Linux.
- Perform hardware/software integration, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Develop and execute test scripts to verify deliverable software products.
- Lead technical design reviews, debug complex system-level issues, and mentor junior to mid-level engineers through code reviews and architectural guidance.
- Identify and resolve customer technical issues with software applications and SDK.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Experience: 7+ years of professional software engineering experience (or 5+ years with an Advanced Degree).
- Core Language Skills: Deep proficiency in C/C++ and strong scripting skills (Python or Bash) for automation and data analysis.
- System Knowledge: Experience developing software for custom FPGA-based hardware.
- Embedded Protocols: Familiarity with data buses and communication protocols (PCIe, USB, ARINC 818, Ethernet).
