Senior Software Engineer

Planetary Talent seeks a Senior Software Engineer with AI fluency for a HealthTech AI startup based in Omaha. The role centers on owning major product initiatives, building comprehensive full-stack features, and integrating AI into the development workflow.

Responsibilities

• Lead key product features from concept through production and deployment
• Design and implement end-to-end full-stack functionality used by healthcare practices
• Develop integrations with EMRs, external APIs, and document ingestion pipelines
• Build systems that process medical documentation and structured patient data
• Incorporate AI tools into the development process to boost velocity and efficiency
• Contribute to architecture and the technical direction of the platform
• Collaborate with leadership and customers to translate real product needs into solutions

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Proven ability to ship production software as an independent contributor
• Strong product sense and capability to solve ambiguous problems
• Comfort working in small startup teams with high ownership
• Regular use of AI tools within the development workflow
• Excellent communication skills, especially in remote environments
• Curiosity about customer problems and willingness to engage with users

Compensation

Salary: USD 180,000 per year.
