Job Description

Peak Performers is seeking a Senior PeopleSoft Developer for a hybrid role based in Austin, TX. This W2 contract focuses on advanced PeopleSoft analysis and development, with specific emphasis on PeopleSoft Benefits and Pension Administration. The position involves hands-on programming, reporting, integrations, and technical design documentation, with after-hours on-call work as required.

Role Summary

In this contract role, you will perform highly advanced work across PeopleSoft applications and modules, including complex development using PeopleSoft tools and programming languages. You will also support data analysis and mapping, reporting through XML Publisher, and integrations using web services, while contributing to technical design documentation and implementation support.

Responsibilities

  • Perform highly advanced analysis and development across PeopleSoft applications and modules.
  • Conduct advanced data analysis, support extensive data research, and create data mapping rules ranging from simple to complex.
  • Assist ETL developers, testers, business analysts, and users in defining data mapping rules and estimating work items.
  • Write, test, and debug complex PeopleSoft programs including SQR, Application Engine, and PeopleCode.
  • Design and develop complex PeopleSoft Pages and PeopleSoft Components.
  • Use PeopleSoft XML Publisher for reporting.
  • Leverage PeopleSoft Integration tools to integrate PeopleSoft applications with third-party applications using web services.
  • Prepare detailed technical design documentation, including analyses, plans, diagrams, and procedures for existing and proposed systems.
  • Determine implementation effort for new systems or enhancements based on changes in user requirements, legislative mandates, software releases, and equipment configuration changes.
  • Recommend technical solutions to improve business processing efficiency for existing and new processes.
  • Demonstrate developed functionality to agency staff before implementation and provide guidance during rollout.
  • Complete on-call or scheduled after-hours work as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in data processing, computer science, business, or a related field, or equivalent related experience.
  • 6+ years of PeopleSoft PeopleTools development experience.
  • 3+ years of PeopleSoft development experience with PeopleSoft Benefits Administration and PeopleSoft Pension Administration.
  • 3+ years of experience using SQL with an Oracle database.
  • 3+ years of experience writing SQR programs and PeopleCode.
  • 3+ years of in-depth data analysis experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with PeopleSoft Application Engine programming.
  • 1+ year of experience with PeopleSoft XML Publisher.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft integration with other PeopleSoft and third-party applications using web services is preferred.

Compensation and Contract Details

  • Rate: $76.00/hour
  • Type: W2 contract
  • Worksite: Austin, TX 78701
  • Schedule: Hybrid
  • Term: 6 month contract with opportunity for extension
