You will steer technical direction, architecture, and the delivery of secure, scalable market leading technology products within the Commercial and Investment Bank Equities team. This role blends leadership with hands on development and collaboration across global teams, including a greenfield initiative to transform the storage and access of loan related legal documentation using AI to uplift user analysis capabilities. Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and direction to business units, engineering teams, contractors, and vendors
• Spearhead a greenfield project to transform how loan related legal documents are stored and accessed, using AI to enhance user analysis capabilities
• Collaborate with stakeholders in Trading, QR, Operations, and global teams to ensure loan management platforms deliver a world class experience for both internal users and clients
• Directly contribute to re-engineering and re-architecting existing platforms for performance, high availability, stability, efficiency, and scalability
• Lead efforts to identify and implement solutions for recurring issues to improve operational stability
• Lead design and architecture discussions to leverage new and emerging technologies for complex business deliveries
• Provide leadership, support, and clear direction to global team members to enhance overall performance
• Actively contribute to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide SDLC frameworks, tools, and practices
• Strengthen team culture with emphasis on diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

Requirements

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts plus 5+ years of applied experience
• Advanced proficiency in Python and React
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Strong knowledge of agile methodologies, application resiliency, and system integration
• Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with minimal oversight
• Degree-level education, ideally in computer science, mathematical or engineering disciplines, or equivalent experience
