Senior Lead Software Engineer Content Management System

The Senior Lead Software Engineer for Hilton's Content Management System will design, develop, and maintain Bloomreach CMS components across web and mobile platforms, lead technical initiatives, and mentor engineers to ensure scalable CMS performance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, customize, and maintain enterprise Bloomreach CMS components and features for web and mobile platforms.
• Collaborate with product and business teams to analyze requirements and implement technical solutions aligned with business goals.
• Create architectural diagrams, workflows, and technical documentation to support the development and deployment of CMS features.
• Develop, test, debug, and deploy software solutions using Java, microservices, and multi-threaded programming techniques.
• Build and maintain integrations between the CMS and backend services, including RESTful APIs.
• Conduct code reviews, write unit tests, and manage build and deployment pipelines.
• Mentor junior engineers and enhance team knowledge and efficiency.
• Research and implement emerging technologies to improve CMS performance and scalability.
• Follow agile methodologies to deliver high-quality, timely solutions.
• 10 percent domestic travel is required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems Engineering and Management, or a related field, and five (5) years of progressive experience in Software Engineering or related occupation.
• Progressive experience with Java-based content management systems, including Bloomreach Experience Manager, Adobe Experience Manager, or OpenText TeamSite.
• Experience using web design patterns and applying software engineering principles.
• Experience utilizing CMS data modeling, configuration, and customization.
• Experience leveraging RESTful APIs to integrate with backend services.
• Experience with version control systems like Git, CI/CD tools, and container technologies.
