Senior FHIR Developer

ClinDCast LLC is seeking a Senior FHIR Developer to design, implement, and maintain interoperable EMR data exchanges and SMART on FHIR apps. This role focuses on leveraging HL7 standards and cloud-based data pipelines to deliver compliant, production-grade interfaces. The position is onsite in New York, NY with an hourly compensation of USD 75, and requires a minimum of 3 years of software development experience.

Responsibilities

• Create and integrate custom software components to enable EMR interoperability.
• Automate data extraction, transformation, and loading using cloud-based tooling and platforms.
• Design and deploy healthcare data ingestion pipelines aligned with HL7v2, CCDA, and FHIR standards.
• Develop SMART on FHIR applications with authentication and authorization using UDAP Security Flow and CDS Hooks.
• Maintain and enhance FHIR interfaces, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide ongoing support and optimization for production data exchange solutions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software development experience with multi-tier architectures.
• 4+ years building components for HAPI/SMILE-CDR FHIR servers using Java and JavaScript.
• 3+ years of experience in FHIR interface design, development, and administration.
• Experience configuring SMART on FHIR security, including UDAP and CDS Hooks.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare standards such as SNOMED, CPT, ICD-10, LOINC, and RXNORM.
• Familiarity with the Interoperability and Patient Access final rule CMS-9115-F.
• Certifications: HL7 FHIR Certification; Cloud Administration (Azure/AWS).
