Job Description
Central Point Partners offers a remote, senior data engineering role that centers on building and governing a modern enterprise data platform. You will design, implement, and oversee real-time operational and financial reporting across multiple entities using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI. The role offers a salary of USD 115,000 to 130,000 per year, along with a benefits package that includes 401(k), 401(k) matching, health insurance, and paid time off.
Responsibilities
- Design and manage enterprise data architecture within Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouses
- Design and manage enterprise data architecture within Microsoft Fabric, including Dataflows Gen2
- Design and manage enterprise data architecture within Microsoft Fabric, including Data pipelines
- Design and manage enterprise data architecture within Microsoft Fabric, including Semantic models
- Design and manage enterprise data architecture within Microsoft Fabric, including Governance standards
- Build and maintain scalable ELT pipelines integrating data from IFS Cloud
- Build and maintain scalable ELT pipelines integrating data from Vista
- Build and maintain scalable ELT pipelines integrating data from ComputerEase
- Build and maintain scalable ELT pipelines integrating data from Sage Intacct
- Build and maintain scalable ELT pipelines integrating data from CRM and operational platforms
- Design enterprise data models supporting WIP / Percentage of Completion reporting
- Design enterprise data models supporting Job costing
- Design enterprise data models supporting AR aging
- Design enterprise data models supporting Retainage
- Design enterprise data models supporting Field service operations
- Design enterprise data models supporting Multi-entity financial reporting
- Lead Power BI architecture and governance efforts including Semantic layer design
- Lead Power BI architecture and governance efforts including Row-level security (RLS)
- Lead Power BI architecture and governance efforts including Dataset certification
- Lead Power BI architecture and governance efforts including Deployment pipelines
- Lead Power BI architecture and governance efforts including Workspace administration
- Partner with Finance, Operations, and IT teams to translate business requirements into scalable reporting and analytics solutions
- Establish data quality, monitoring, testing, and governance standards across the enterprise data platform
- Mentor analysts and technical team members on Power BI development standards and reporting best practices
- Support future-state analytics initiatives including predictive analytics, self-service BI, and AI-enabled reporting capabilities
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or senior BI development roles
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric including Lakehouses
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric including Data Factory pipelines
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric including Dataflows Gen2
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric including OneLake governance
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric including Semantic model deployment
- Advanced Power BI experience including DAX
- Advanced Power BI experience including Composite models
- Advanced Power BI experience including DirectQuery/import optimization
- Advanced Power BI experience including Deployment pipelines
- Advanced Power BI experience including Workspace administration
- Strong experience with enterprise data modeling (dimensional and relational)
- Experience working with ERP and financial systems such as IFS
- Experience working with ERP and financial systems such as Vista
- Experience working with ERP and financial systems such as ComputerEase
- Experience working with ERP and financial systems such as Sage Intacct
- Experience working with ERP and financial systems such as Procore
- Experience working with ERP and financial systems such as Similar enterprise platforms
- Strong SQL and Python skills for data transformation and pipeline development
- Experience with ETL/ELT and integration tools such as Azure Data Factory
- Experience with ETL/ELT and integration tools such as Fabric pipelines
- Experience with ETL/ELT and integration tools such as Boomi
- Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
